Florence Nightingale is widely regarded as the founder of modern nursing. She emphasised the core principles of kindness and care to all, whether sick of well. The Nursing Department of Dhulikhel Hospital applies these same principles. The Department has a qualified team of nurses to provide quality nursing care to sick patients. The Department conducts regular meetings to share ideas, list problems and find their solutions. Members from other departments are also involved in the monthly meeting. The Nursing Department has been looking after the nursing-related components of housekeeping, laundry, physiotherapy, X-ray, OPD, OT and the different wards. The Department ensures holistic care of the patients through good co-operation and coordination with all related and involved departments.
