Musculoskeletal physiotherapy deals with problems of  muscles and joints (which includes bones, muscle , cartilage, ligaments, tendons, discs and nerves )
We deal patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including Joint pain, Soft tissue injuries, Acute and Chronic muscular and skeletal conditions, Arthritis, fracture, sports related injury etc

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist look after:
Assessment: We ask specific questions pertaining to the condition to know/understand your problem. Assessments usually take about 30 minutes and often involve the need to remove some items of clothing so that the physiotherapist can assess the appropriate areas.  
Examination: We examine you based on a good clinical reasoning, which helps to diagnose the condition
Treatment: Determine a treatment program specific to your individual needs. The treatment is provided either at the inpatient or outpatient settings.
Establish a baseline of symptoms and limitations which helps to reassess progress on subsequent visits.
Determine whether physiotherapy can help your condition.
Referrals to other department when needed.
Services provided
Inpatient Services: We provide services in Orthopaedic and Traumatology ward where the rehabilitation of pre operative and post operative cases are handled by the physiotherapists.
Out Patient Department services: Problems like shoulder pain, neck and back pain, hip and knee pain, Radiculopathy, osteoarthritis, Frozen shoulder, Ankle sprains, Tennis Elbow, Sciatica, Fractures and stiffness of movement, Orthopaedic post-operative and conservative management, Sports injury management and rehabilitation etc are commonly managed at the OPD.

Depending upon the condition and problems, our physiotherapists provide the following services to the patients :
Education: About the condition/problem, to prevent recurrences and learn how to actively manage it and offer our patients a seamless pathway of care.
Exercises: To stretch and strengthen; to improve posture; to improve core stability muscles, exercises based on protocols to become physically more active and to help rehabilitate to work, sport and leisure activities.
Manual therapy: Mobilizations, soft tissue manipulations
Electrotherapy agents: To relive pain and help promote healing
Relaxation strategies
Supportive devices: Prescribe, train and reeducate the mobility and exercises with the orthotic devices and assistive devices like crutches, canes and walkers.
Ergonomic Advice, information and Long term self-management strategies: Advice and information especially in regards to how you can help yourself manage your condition better and we do provide Patient information leaflets  on a variety of musculoskeletal conditions
