Physiotherapy in Women’s Health identifies the problems associated with pregnancy, child birth, post-partum, breastfeeding and menopause. The physiotherapy management basically deals with pelvic floor muscle issues and pelvic pain.
Uterine prolapse is a major public health problem in rural Nepal. It is a medical and social problem, deeply rooted with poor health services and socio-cultural beliefs. To overcome and prevent the problems, Dhulikhel Hospital is providing the physiotherapy services for antenatal and postnatal women. We provide antenatal classes to educate pregnant women about the pregnancy, pregnancy related problems and delivery for one hour in a group session in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
